How to buy

    How public bodies engage us

Public procurement rewards clarity. This page sets out the routes we work through, how teaming and diverse-business participation is handled, what a first engagement looks like, and how pricing is arrived at — so a procurement officer can judge fit before a single call.

    Routes to engagement

    Direct professional services

Statement of work against a defined scope, deliverables and acceptance criteria.

    Teaming and joint venture

We team where a partner holds the qualifying past performance or the contract vehicle, with roles set out in writing.

    Subcontract to a prime

We take the assurance and oversight scope under a prime holding the broader award.

    Cooperative and existing vehicles

Where a suitable state, local or cooperative vehicle exists, we work through it rather than asking for a new one.

    Sole-source where justified

Only where the requirement genuinely turns on capability that is documented and defensible.

    Pilot before programme

A scoped diagnostic or pilot that produces usable evidence before any multi-year commitment.

What a first engagement looks like

    Scoped diagnostic

A short, fixed-scope review against the obligations you actually carry, ending in a findings pack you can act on regardless of what happens next.

    • Obligation inventory and control coverage map
    • Named gaps with owners and effort estimates
    • Reporting artefacts you keep

    Pilot on one surface

One oversight surface stood up end to end — for example vendor assurance or an AI use registry — so the operating model is proven before it is widened.

    • One surface, real evidence, agreed cadence
    • Success criteria set before start
    • Stop or widen decision at the end

    Programme with knowledge transfer

Wider rollout with your staff as named owners throughout, and a documented handover as a contractual deliverable rather than a courtesy.

    • Named agency owners for every control
    • Runbooks, templates and training handed over
    • Exit criteria agreed at engagement start

    Diverse-business participation

Where participation goals apply, we structure the team to meet them properly, with real scope and real responsibility rather than pass-through.

    • MBE, WBE and small-business partners with defined scope
    • Participation reported against commitments
    • Partner capability documented in the submission

    Security and residency posture

Deployment posture is a procurement question, so it is answered up front: multi-tenant, dedicated tenancy, or sovereign and restricted enclave.

    • Residency and key custody defined at scoping
    • Access boundaries and scoped reviewer read access
    • Evidence retention aligned to your record schedule

    Pricing

Pricing is quoted against scope. We do not publish rate cards or seat pricing, because public-sector scope varies too much for a list price to be honest.

    • Fixed-price diagnostics and pilots where scope allows
    • Deliverable-based milestones for programmes
    • No public price cards or promotional discounting

    Questions buyers ask

    Do you publish pricing?

No. Public-sector scope varies too much for a list price to be meaningful, so pricing is quoted against a defined scope after a short scoping conversation.

Will you team with an incumbent?

Yes, where it serves the buyer. We are frequently the assurance and oversight scope inside a broader award held by a partner.

Can you meet diverse-business participation goals?

Yes, with partners holding real scope and reported participation. We do not structure pass-through arrangements.

What is the smallest sensible starting point?

A fixed-scope diagnostic. It produces an obligation map and named gaps you keep regardless of whether the relationship continues.

Start with scope, not a demo

Send the requirement, the vehicle you intend to use, or the obligations you are trying to evidence. A senior practitioner responds — enquiries do not go into a queue.
